Saturday Live Timing
Sunday Live Timing

UROC is very proud to announce that we will be hosting the Bee’s Knees Enduro race this September 9-10 at Pass Powderkeg Ski Area. This race will be a great opportunity for new and veteran racers to test their skills on the wide variety of trails on offer at PPK.

As Enduro racing has progressed, UROC has seen the opportunity to offer an event for all ages and abilities with a homegrown feel, at a price that is just right. The Bee’s Knee’s Enduro will feature a 3 Stage Youth Race on Saturday afternoon, and a 5 Stage longer course on Sunday for all other categories.

The Saturday event is open to racers in the U12 (Ages 8-11) and U15 (Ages 12-14) categories looking for a shorter course option. Parents will be able to ride the course with younger racers.

On Sunday the full course will have the following categories: U15 (Ages 12-14), U18 (Ages 15-17), Open Men/Women, Masters Men/Women (Ages 40+) as well as an Open Men/Women E-bike category. Racers will moved into correct age categories if their stated birthdates don’t match what they’ve registered in.

Course routes can now be found on Trailforks here:

Saturday Youth Course

  • Stage 1: Electric Monkey
  • Stage 2: Lower Buck50
  • Stage 3: Nothing to Luge

Sunday Full Course

  • Stage 1: Buck50
  • Stage 2: Electric Monkey
  • Stage 3: Berma-Grin
  • Stage 4: Spare Change – Roots of Hazard
  • Stage 5: Nothing to Luge

Timing will be professionally handled by Zone4, and all racers will receive a meal and a beverage with their race entry. Plus we will have great prizing from our partnering bike shops, Alpenland, Ascent Cycle, Bike Bros. and Calgary Cycle.

Full face helmets will be mandatory to participate in the race, and you will be required to sign both a UROC event waiver, and a Pass Powderkeg facility waiver. For those in need of a helmet, Alpenland does have a new fleet available for rent at their location in the Pass Powderkeg daylodge. Please contact them ahead of time to arrange rental.

Camping will be available at Pass Powderkeg. Price will be $30 for the weekend, which includes Friday and Saturday night (no discount for only one night). Please reserve and pay for your site, rv or tent, through our online store, here. While your there, maybe throw a membership in the cart and to help support the trails even more!

The Saturday Youth race is $60, and the Sunday race is $125, with all proceeds going back into the trails. To register for the race follow this link to Zone4: UROC Bee’s Knees Enduro | Zone4.ca. Registration is open through Thursday, September 7, 2023.
