We’ll have updates on everything from previous trail work to planned trail work\, planned events for 2024\, and beyond. DESCRIPTION:Saturday Live Timing\nSunday Live Timing \nUROC is very proud to announce that we will be hosting the Bee’s Knees Enduro race this September 9-10 at Pass Powderkeg Ski Area. This race will be a great opportunity for new and veteran racers to test their skills on the wide variety of trails on offer at PPK. \nAs Enduro racing has progressed\, UROC has seen the opportunity to offer an event for all ages and abilities with a homegrown feel\, at a price that is just right. The Bee’s Knee’s Enduro will feature a 3 Stage Youth Race on Saturday afternoon\, and a 5 Stage longer course on Sunday for all other categories. \nThe Saturday event is open to racers in the U12 (Ages 8-11) and U15 (Ages 12-14) categories looking for a shorter course option. Parents will be able to ride the course with younger racers. \nOn Sunday the full course will have the following categories: U15 (Ages 12-14)\, U18 (Ages 15-17)\, Open Men/Women\, Masters Men/Women (Ages 40+) as well as an Open Men/Women E-bike category. Racers will moved into correct age categories if their stated birthdates don’t match what they’ve registered in. \nCourse routes can now be found on Trailforks here: \nSaturday Youth Course \n\nStage 1: Electric Monkey\nStage 2: Lower Buck50\nStage 3: Nothing to Luge\n\nSunday Full Course \n\nStage 1: Buck50\nStage 2: Electric Monkey\nStage 3: Berma-Grin\nStage 4: Spare Change – Roots of Hazard\nStage 5: Nothing to Luge\n\n\n\nTiming will be professionally handled by Zone4\, and all racers will receive a meal and a beverage with their race entry. Plus we will have great prizing from our partnering bike shops\, Alpenland\, Ascent Cycle\, Bike Bros. and Calgary Cycle. \nFull face helmets will be mandatory to participate in the race\, and you will be required to sign both a UROC event waiver\, and a Pass Powderkeg facility waiver. For those in need of a helmet\, Alpenland does have a new fleet available for rent at their location in the Pass Powderkeg daylodge. Please contact them ahead of time to arrange rental. \nCAMPING\nCamping will be available at Pass Powderkeg. Work areas will be a 10-15 minute walk from the parking lot. \nMeet at the Pass Powderkeg day lodge parking lot at 6 pm. If you can’t make it that early\, feel free to join us along the trail any time that evening\, we’ll have a few extra tools along for anyone who wants to drop in later. \nPlease bring: food\, water\, extra layers\, good footwear\, gloves\, and glasses. If you haven’t already signed a waiver\, please find the link on the main page of our website and fill one out. \nWe’ll plan on doing trail work nights every second Tuesday\, so keep an eye on the events here for more details on future volunteer opportunities!
